Working together as a family unit for nearly 20 years, Aaron and Meleeta Hemsley – along with their amazing team – are at the heart of Coral Coast Building & Management.

Aaron is a seasoned professional builder with more than 25 years’ industry experience – including out at remote locations and mine sites. He completed his apprenticeship in 1998 and founded Coral Coast Building & Management in 2011. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, camping, music concerts and adventure motorbike riding.


With Cyclones Larry, Yasi and Debbie hitting our shores in recent years, Aaron’s amassed extensive experience in carrying out insurance work. He’s helped homeowners, businesses and government clients get back on their feet! Alongside his team he can complete projects from design to completion. 


Aaron is an old-school, traditional builder. All work is completed on-site or in the workshop. Nothing is outsourced!

Meleeta has over 15 years’ experience in business administration and management. While working with Aaron she also operated as a business trainer. Travelling to Papua New Guinea several times, Meleeta helped educate workers out at remote mines in ‘Training and Assessing’. She enjoys family time, socialising and cooking.

<p class="rteBlock">Jeff and I moved to Mission beach in July 2010. We had previously bought a hillside block of land in South Mission Beach and we were ready to build. “Hemsley Construction” was recommended to us by our neighbour.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">We consulted Aaron who came up with a plan that not only suited our needs but included extras that we hadn’t really considered. The costing was reasonable so we signed on.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">Aaron and his crew did a fantastic job on the house, including design, excavation, building and interior fittings. As well, Aaron did all the liaising and organizing of fittings, cabinet making, electrics, plumbing, painting, and landscaping including a rather difficult driveway.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">Even though the process was interrupted by Cyclone Yasi, Aaron and his team were straight back into it after the cyclone. Fortunately and because of the preparations and care taken, our house survived the cyclone very well. On the day after, I was so relieved to hear his cheerful voice on the phone saying ‘the house is still on the hill’ Of course, the completion was slowed down after Yasi but Aaron worked very hard to get back on track.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">We have been in our home for nearly a year now and we have no regrets. The completed home is beyond our imaginings and expectations. The service, care and friendship we have received from Aaron and Meleeta Hemsley throughout and after has been outstanding. As we sit on our verandah, enjoying the views with a glass of wine, we quietly thank Aaron and Meleeta for making it possible!</p>

CCBM. A REMARKABLE FIND!

<p class="rteBlock">This will be the rarest of reviews! Giving 5 stars to a building contractor and their tradesmen. I am an experienced renovator and have employed countless trades people over a long time. But I have NEVER had the pleasure of witnessing a 5 star rating for a contractor in practically everything! Attitude. Skill. Attention to detail. Accuracy. Commitment and speed. Mobile phones seemed non-existent. Lunch took a scant 3/4 hour on site. Arrivals were always on time. Materials were superior. Workmanship faultless. The result was perfect. On time and on the money. The fact that all of this took place on Hamilton Island and the troop had to come and leave by ferry daily makes their achievement all the more remarkable. If I&#x27;m sounding lyrical, I am. I have been badly burnt in the past with tradesmen over charging, producing lousy work and being rude. If you want to avoid all these familiar complaints, consider CCBM and the boss man, Aaron Hemsley. They are gems.</p>

After initially using CCBM for some maintenance work for our unit on Hamilton Island we then decided to do a total renovation. The team at CCBM were fast & efficient and so easy to deal with - even while I was trying to do this remotely and during Covid & Island shutdowns. Every commitment was delivered on time and on budget and I was always kept up to date with site photos . They also assisted with recommendations for all aspects of the reno which made it so much easier - again backed up with photos to explain various scenarios/options. I thoroughly recommend them, their workmanship & performance is great and the team are so easy and professional to deal with.
